Resumo
O aumento da esperança de vida, com uma maior proporção da população a viver com doenças crónicas, tem implicações para os sistemas de saúde em todo o mundo, exigindo ênfase em cuidados paliativos. Contudo, atualmente, os serviços de cuidados paliativos não conseguem satisfazer as necessidades da população. Para enfrentar este desafio e garantir o acesso universal a cuidados paliativos de qualidade, é necessário integrá-los em Cuidados de Saúde Primários (CSP). Assim, a formação em cuidados paliativos desempenha um papel fundamental no aumento da competência dos profissionais de CSP, permitindo-lhes coordenar e gerir melhor a transição dos cuidados à medida que a condição do doente avança. Esta revisão sistemática tem como objetivo analisar e sintetizar a evidência existente sobre o impacto da formação em cuidados paliativos nos profissionais de CSP. Será realizada uma revisão sistemática da literatura, com busca de artigos nas bases de dados PubMed e Cochrane Library. Os critérios de inclusão incluem ensaios clínicos randomizados e estudos quase-experimentais que avaliem programas de formação em cuidados paliativos nos profissionais de CSP. Serão excluídos estudos observacionais, revisões sistemáticas/meta-análises e literatura cinzenta, estudos que não se centrem na formação em cuidados paliativos nos profissionais de CSP e estudos que não avaliem o impacto ou a eficácia destes programas de formação.
